Girl Scout Day at the National Constitutional Center (Phila)

Girl Scouts run the museum in this activity-packed
day at the National Constitution Center. Girls can participate in
several activities to earn credits toward patches and try-its. A fun-filled
day full of guided tours, special interactive themed shows, and outdoor
flag ceremonies, and activity tables will help Scouts better understand
what it means to be citizens of the United States.
Enjoy a fun-filled day learning about our country while you meet requirements or work toward patches! The National Constitution Center will feature activity tables, workshops, and shows just for Scouts! You can also explore the entire museum as you earn a commemorative National Constitution Center Fun Patch. Scout leaders and parents will receive a Girl Scout packet and agenda to lead them throughout the day's activities and events.
**Please keep in mind, Girl Scout Day activities will take place throughout the day, so plan on staying awhile.

PETER'S CREEK CLEANUP (tentative)

Location: Peter's Creek, behind Oaklyn Public School, near the athletic fields
Help the volunteers at St. Mark's Lutheran Church maintain a precious waterway in Oaklyn. Volunteers will be pulling debris from Peter's Creek, to maintain the delicate ecosystem that feeds a local watershed. Dress for dirt and water!

Let's celebrate Earth Day by planting some beautiful flowers! Our Girl Scout troop and other volunteers from our community will helping out at Planting Day, sponsored by the Oaklyn Garden Club. We'll start at Borough Hall, at the White Horse Pike and East Clinton Ave, and we'll maybe continue to other spots around town. Plan on getting your hands dirty!
